RE FUNDRAISER

Welcome to a new year! Thank you for registering!

Over the last few years the RE department has been fundraising. This is due to a declining enrollment among all RE programs in the Diocese. While St. Ann has had a declining enrollment for about a decade, the 2021-22 year saw us finally reverse that trend. The St. Ann enrollment rose by a few students. We are encouraged by this upward trend in our program and the local demographics are giving us very good optimism.
Most of our fundraising has been directed toward the whole parish and the community. We have been blessed with great support in the Channahon community. We have also targeted fundraising to our RE families. Last year we sent our “REally Big Ticket” to all of our families. This was a big swing and it paid off. However, at $100 per ticket, this was hard on some families. Father John, the fundraising committee and I absolutely do not want to raise tuition, but we are still facing a deficit in funds to run the program.
While you are more than welcome to participate in all of our fundraisers (and we hope you do!) this year we are only going to target the RE families with one fundraiser. It will be smaller than last year as the pandemic has eased up, so we will be able to do more in-house fundraising (with people actually attending!).
Tuition will remain the same as last year. In lieu of raising tuition, we are having each family sell 5 raffle tickets at a cost of $10 apiece. The $50 will be automatically added to your family bill. We have kept this simple.
1) You can put your name on all 5 raffle tickets, pay your tuition, turn everything in and you now have 5 chances to win 1 of 3 $500 prizes!
2) You are welcome to sell them to someone for $10 each (making your $50 back), turn in the stubs with your tuition paperwork. This way your tuition remains the same.

Once you register, I will mail you the raffle tickets. We will be drawing our winners at the St. Ann Parish Picnic, so ticket stubs will be due prior to the picnic. Thank you for supporting our children in the RE program. May God Bless you and your family this year.

Thank you,
Tom Uraski
Religious Education Director
